Tanya Searles, MA

Tanya Searles, MA

Tanya is a Master’s Level Licensed Psychologist providing psychotherapy to adolescents and adults in a professional and non-judgmental setting since 2001. In her years of clinical experience, Tanya has become aware of the many forms of distress and suffering with which people learn to cope. It is often in the way the brain and body attempt to cope that we develop the symptoms that ultimately compromise our emotional and physical health. As humans we are capable of a surprising amount of adaptive creativity. When harnessed, this drive to adapt and change is incredibly powerful. In therapy, you will develop skills for reflecting on the past, as well as, skills for understanding and changing present emotional and physical experiences.

Tanya is recognized by EMDRIA as an Approved Consultant in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). She available to provide consultation for EMDR practitioners and is contracted with Rivers Edge Institute to provide EMDR Basic Training opportunities in-person and virtually. Ian Turkle, LCMHC

Ian Turkle, LCMHC

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with 15 years of clinical experience. I am currently a member of the Green River Guild in Hyde Park, VT. In my practice, I like to create a therapeutic setting in which clients can discover for themselves the answers and solutions they have been looking for. I believe that people have the adaptive information inside them to grow beyond their problems, they have the power to feel better, and that they can create the lives of their own choosing.

I am a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. EMDR has shown to be effective in helping people process traumatic life experiences and it can also be helpful in addressing a wide range of presenting concerns. I work with people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and PTSD.

When someone has taken the big step of reaching out, they may feel stuck, confused, or trapped. They are looking for clarity, understanding, or a solution to an issue, event, or way of feeling. My goal is to help people gain insight and resolve past and present issues so they can apply what they have learned to future scenarios and enjoy life as they choose.
